A henna night set as the chest panel of an embroidered thobe. The top band sews itself on load, cypress selvedges run down both edges, and the whole page sits on an 8px cross-stitch grid. Sister to The Sacred Garden: same paper, ink and oxblood, different embroidery.

Under the Goat-Hair Tent

The men's wedding lunch, set inside a بيت شعر. A shemagh drapes over the entrance on load, a gold khayamiya sun turns once every four minutes behind the invitation, and the page steps out into daylight for the mansaf before the footer takes you back in. Third of the set: same paper, ink and oxblood as the other two — flowers, thread, tent.

The Ivory Card

A formal men's-lunch invitation, reproduced as the printed card it was: one tall ivory column on linen, gilt rules down both edges, and antique gold as the only colour on the page. A single pass of gold foil crosses دَعْوَة on load and the engraving is drawn on line by line. No RSVP — the card stands alone.
